'Smiley faces all round and time well spent'
Two Acton Safer Neighbourhoods Team officers, PCSO Hancock and PC Murru from Southfield ward were recently invited by local schools to talk to the children about the purpose and role played by the police in their communities.
They visited Southfield Preparatory School and Orchard House School, both in W4 and One World Preparatory School in W3 where they held 45 minute sessions to engage with the 3 - 6 year olds in a series of fun yet informative talks, also allowing the youngsters to get familiarized with some pieces of police kit.
PCSO Hancock said: “We really enjoyed talking to children and providing them with some useful information in a very relaxed way. They really seemed to have enjoyed the experience.”
PC Murru added: “It was definitely a very good and entertaining experience for all concerned. Smiley faces all round proved that it was a worthwhile thing to do and time very well spent.”
