Man Stabbed Whilst De-icing Car

"Bizarre" incident on Shakespeare Road

Locals reported seeing police tape this morning in the short stretch of Shakespeare Road which runs between Milton Road and Goldsmith Road.

One Forum poster, Sara Nathan, said she had been told by a policeman at the scene that there had been: "a bit of a stabbing, nothing life-threatening."

The incident happened this morning some time before 7.45am.

An ambulance is said to have attended the scene at 7.10am.

Local resident Helen Coleman said that the stabbing, fortunately not a serious one, had happened whilst the victim had been scraping ice off his car.

She said: "Someone just walked up behind [the victim] whilst he was clearing his car and stabbed him."

We have asked the local police for further information.
