Road safety and stranger danger discussed
Last Friday 16th October East Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team held a talk for 80 young pupils and parents. The main aim of the talk was to introduce themselves as the local police team.
Officers explained how they work to keep the neighbourhood safe from harm. Many of the pupils are new to the UK and it was a very useful session for them.
Other subjects covered were: Road safety and stranger danger.
PCSO Steve the police mascot also attended and gave out 'ive met the met' stickers and 'ive met pcso steve stickers' which the pupils really enjoyed.
At the end of the talk there was a lively question and answer session from pupils and parents.
PCSO Jay Parmar said: "This was a useful session. East Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team are always delighted to work with local schools. It is great for us to get to know people in the area we police and we are proud to be working hard to keep East Acton a safe area."
