New Face for Acton Central

PS Sergeant Neil Mackintosh heads Acton Central Safer Neighbourhood Team

Acton Central Ward has a new Police officer in charge of the Safer Neighbourhood Team.

PS Neil Mackintosh has served 26 years service with the Metropolitan Police. He has served at Staines, Richmond and Twickenham and also worked in Southall between 1993 and 2004. He has always worked as a uniformed officer.

Between 2004 and December 2008 I worked at Transport OCU in charge of both Reassurance and Task Teams and was often in Acton during operations there.

Sergeant Mackintosh is married with 2 children (a boy aged 15 and a girl aged 12) and lives in Surrey.

He is contactable via the Safer Neighbourhood Team email address actoncentral.snt@met.police.uk or by telephone 020 8721 2921

When we met him this week, he was already grappling with the street drinkers who congregate, mostly on the Mount in Acton Central. He has several ideas about what can be done and will be concentrating on trying to improve this situation which residents have consistently complained about.

We are sure we will be hearing plenty more from PS Mackintosh over the coming months and wish him well in his new job.
