Forty new jobs created at the new store in The Oaks

Lidl will be opening its new store in The Oaks in Acton next week.

Customers are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8am on Thursday 17 October and will be offered the chance to sample free products throughout the day.

It will be the latest opening in the new Oaks outlet following Superdrug, Iceland and Wilko.

The new supermarket forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the GB and has created up to 40 new jobs locally.

The store has a 974m² sales area and features an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, customer toilets, baby changing andparking for both cars and bicycles.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Mike Devine, commented: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Acton. It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”

Lidl GB has shown continual growth with latest Kantar Worldpanel figures showing increased sales year on year and market share high of 6%.
