Urgent Plea From Acton Homeless Concern
Volunteers and staff at Acton Homeless Concern

Acton Homeless Concern is starting a special summer project to help local families during the school holidays.

By handing out free takeaway packed lunches to families with children, it will be expanding its continuing response to the economic consequences of Covid-19.

This new service starts at the end of term on 17 July and will happen every Tuesday and Friday from 12-1.30pm until the schools go back.

To maintain social distancing around Emmaus House, the charity's staff and volunteers will be distributing food and more from the entrance of the Our Lady of Lourdes Church hall in Oldham Terrace opposite Acton Mosque.

There will be no need to register and everyone is welcome. It will also be an opportunity for families to access our other services if they wish.

They’ve already been in touch with local schools to let them know about the project.

Phone Ian on 020 89925768 for more information.

Acton Homeless Concern is a drop-in day centre providing much needed advice and support.

It's been helping the community for nearly thirty years and as a voluntary organisation is wholly dependent on people donating time or money.

Further information about the charity can be found at www.actonhomelessconcern.org and their Facebook page.
